Some people make easy things too complicated.
You can make a toasted sandwich the hard way or you can do it the easy way. Take my advice, just put some cheese, creamed corn and sweet thai chilli sauce between two pieces of bread and put it in the toasted sandwich maker.

I suggest Montieths Oringinal as an accompaniment.

Toasted sandwich maker? Bah! Why not just use the toaster?

Your bread is upside down — the butter/spread stuff needs to be on the “outside”. Traditionally, that is.

Thanks to the wonders of my non-stick sandwich maker there’s no need for butter on the outside.
