Republicans don’t debate republicanism

20 January, 2008 · 6 Comments

Mike Moore’s call for a formal debate on republicanism and Royal attendance at Sir Ed’s funeral could well be the most significant stories related to republicanism this year in New Zealand.  The Republican Movement has put out a press release for each matter and its members are blogging away

The Republic of NZ Party, a 2008 election hopeful, hasn’t managed to produce any public comment. Its most prolific blogger hasn’t managed a post either.

Not generating any media coverage this week virtually confirms they’ve insufficient media savvy to mount a credible campaign later in the year. Even I’ve written more than them.

Why would successive governments endorse family unfriendly policy is beyond my comprehension? I fail to understand all the unnecessary misery experienced by so many children who are affected by the tragedy of family estrangement situations.

Sadly children become confused and hurt when they feel abandoned by a parent who has vanished from the scene. Often false allegations of child abuse and domestic violence result in protection orders that are handed out by Family Court judges like raffle tickets. The destructive Family Court lives behind a veil of secrecy that allows it do whatever it likes in an unaccountable fashion, because they’re working to the feminist agenda, which works on hearsay, and not factual corroborating evidence. The forced male Court client soon loses his human dignity and all his parental rights that are stripped by callous government agencies. He is labeled a non-custodial parent and a disgruntled litigant if he dares to challenge the Court’s decision. Unfortunately the overwhelming frustration he experiences after being confronted by the unlawful gender bias shown by the authorities that will not listen to the truth quickly shatter his life and can get the better of him. Often it can send him spiralling down into heartbreaking depression that sometimes results in suicide. Children do not understand the agendas at work that are criminalizing fatherhood and they soon build resentment that can trigger anti social behaviours’ in their teenage years.

The Labour government has twice refused to acknowledge the positive influence that a father figure role model can provide for children. They have deliberately refused to back equal parenting and they will not help fathers in anyway at all. They scoff at the suggestion that a dad can provide valuable beneficial tools that can help children in the all-important nurturing years. Children do best when they are taught healthy boundaries by loving parents of both genders, and they excel when they can form caring and meaningful bonds of love in a child /parent relationship with both mum and dad.

When will a government address the alarming rise in the new age phenomenon fatherlessness. Common sense show that is directly responsible for many problems faced by society today especially in the area of troublesome youth and truancy.

A moral government has an unwritten obligation to the strengthen the family and protect vulnerable children .It makes no sense for a government to be in the fractured family business.

I just don’t get it d4j. How can carrying on the way you do help your causes?

Did that long off topic post above help out your mates in the Republicans or make it even harder for them to be taken seriously? Does calling people names on Kiwiblog everynight make people more likely or less likely to believe that you’ve been hard done by?

The Republican Party is far more than a group of disgruntled fathers. Our members are from a diverse section of society.

New Zealand has long suffered under big government mentality and the Republican Party offers hope and much needed redirection . Just imagine a government as it should be, that works for the benefit of all its constituent’s, rather than a government influenced by minority agenda ideologues?
